Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Transport Policy Consultation
| Purpose | We are looking at the transport assistance and the financial support we provide for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) who require transport help to attend school and college and we want your views. Lancashire County Council is holding a consultation about proposed changes to the Transport Policy. The consultation will be open from the 3 January 2012 until the 27 March 2012. You can find out what these changes would be and have your say on these proposals by reading the consultation document in the Downloads tab and responding by completing the online consultation questionnaire. You can find the link to the questionnaire within the consultation document. Latest news We have extended the consultation on the authority's proposed changes to the current provision of transport for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) from home to school and college by two weeks, until 11 April 2012. As the purpose of this consultation is to seek your views on the proposal and, whilst we have already received many responses so far, we understand that many people have opinions they still wish to make known. Because of this we have decided to allow a little more time to ensure we gather as much valuable feedback as possible. The consultation will now close on 11 April 2012. No final decisions will be made until all responses have been carefully considered and we will communicate the outcome of the consultation to you as soon as possible thereafter. |
