Purpose Lancashire County Council are proposing to close Deepdale Junior School, with effect from 31 December 2014. They are also proposing to expand Deepdale Infant School by extending the age range from 3 - 7 years to 3 - 11 years to become a primary school with a capacity for 630 pupils by utilising the existing Junior School building, with effect from 1 January 2015. The county council is seeking your views on this proposal through a formal consultation exercise.

The consultation is the first of five stages which runs until 9 June 2014. You can express your views online.

There is an opportunity for you to express your views in public at a consultation event taking place at Deepdale Junior School on Tuesday 6 May 2014 from 3pm to 7.30pm and on Wednesday 7 May 2014 at Deepdale Infant School from 3pm to 7.30pm. This is an appointment led event, please book a place on the event. The closing date to book a place on the event is Wednesday 30 April 2014 at 5pm.
