Changes to where we provide your services

New Search

Purpose Lancashire County Council provides local communities with a wide range of different services, based in hundreds of buildings across the county. We are proposing some changes to how and where many of these services are provided and we want your views. You have until Sunday 14 August to have your say as part of this consultation and you can either give us your views on this website or hard copy questionnaires are also available from late May in libraries and children's centres.

Before you give us your comments please look at ALL the proposals for the buildings in your area as services may have just moved to a different building nearby.

Take a look at the map to see what we are proposing for your area.

We know how important these services are to the people who use them. The purpose of the proposals explained below is to allow the council to keep providing residents with a good service, at a cost it will be able to afford in the future.

The main changes we intend to consult about are:
- To reduce the number of different buildings where services are available.
- To create a network of 'Neighbourhood Centres' through which we will deliver services
- To consult on the location of designated children's centres
