Housing with Care and Support Strategy Consultation 2018

Purpose	Background Please take time to read the draft Housing with Care and Support Strategy that accompanies this questionnaire before giving us your views. The draft strategy was approved by the county council's Cabinet in September 2018. The strategy sets out the council's ambition and vision to work with key partners to develop a range of high quality housing with care and support schemes across Lancashire for both older adults and younger adults with disabilities. It is recognised that many of the causes of poor health in Lancashire are preventable. Healthy living conditions and good quality housing and support plays a vital role in supporting people to maintain good health, independence and quality of life. We want people to have choice about where they live and receive care and support. We want people to be supported to live independently and have a good quality of life. What we are consulting on We want to know what you think about our proposals to help ensure that vulnerable people living across the county have the opportunity to access a suitable and sustainable home with the right level of support that meets their needs and helps them to maintain their health, wellbeing and independence. This will give the council the strategic direction to make the changes needed to achieve our aims for housing with care and support over the next seven years 2018-2025.
