Local Cycling Walking Infrastructure Plan public engagement
Purpose | We have ambitious plans to increase active travel and make Lancashire place where cycling and walking is easily accessible, safe to use, attractive and well maintained. Working in partnership with Blackpool Council, we are developing Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans, providing long term plans for our future cycling and walking networks for each area of the county. Help shape cycling and walking in your area We are currently inviting all Lancashire residents to take part in a survey to provide feedback on their local cycling and walking provision. We want to know where you think the gaps are in the network and what facilities would enable you to walk and cycle more. Why your views matter This is the first step of the process to implement Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans in Lancashire, which have been used in other areas of the country to deliver fit for purpose cycling and walking schemes. We will use feedback from the survey to develop draft plans which we will again consult on during the summer once analysis has been completed. A draft indicative Lancashire cycling and walking network map based on the plans would be published, and the final plans would be taken to the county council's Cabinet for approval later in the year. |
