Ordinary Watercourse Regulation Policy Consultation

New Search

Purpose The Flood and Water Management Act 2010 designated Lancashire County Council as the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) for the County Council's area with a role in managing local flood risks from surface water, groundwater and from ordinary watercourses.

In 2014 we published our Flood Investigations Policy. Since then, we have learnt a great deal and in our Lancashire Local Flood Risk Management Strategy 2021 - 2027, published in November 2021, we committed to reviewing this policy to build on lessons learnt and best practice so that we can deliver our responsibilities efficiently and effectively.

We would like your views on our proposed Ordinary Watercourse Regulation policies.

Your feedback will help us make further changes if required to the proposed policies. Your views will be considered by Lancashire County Councillors and council staff, and used to inform the final policy documents.
