Community Equipment survey 2007/2008

New Search

Purpose The Community Equipment Survey covers all adults aged 18 and over who have received a piece of community equipment or a minor adaptation funded by the Adult and Community Services directorate between September and December 2007.
The survey includes 21 compulsory questions and three optional demographic questions, the results from which will provide benchmarking information for councils. The questions have been designed to identify issues relating to community equipment that are important to service users. All the questions have been tested to ensure that they are understood by service users.

The survey has been developed due to a growing need to learn more about whether or not equipment and minor adaptations help service users to live safely in their own homes. Once completed, the results will be returned to the NHS Information Centre, and will provide the first national picture of the provision of community equipment. The Department of Health are planning to develop Performance Indicators from the survey for 2007/08.
