North West Coast Connections - engaging with communities

New Search

Purpose National Grid is developing the North West Coast Connections Project (NWCC) to connect and export the electricity that will be generated by Moorside, the proposed new 3.4 GW nuclear power station that will be built near Sellafield in West Cumbria. They also need to export the power generated to other new energy projects in the North West.

This consultation will give members of the public an opportunity to share their views on National Grid's emerging proposals about how the new connection needed for Moorside could be developed.
