Key findings Perceptions around quality of life differ by area, but residents are more united in their views on working towards a better future. Four-fifths (81%) of Lancashire residents say they are satisfied with their local area as a place to live. However, the 2003 survey reveals a wide degree of variation in residents' reported satisfaction with their area. There have been some significant improvements in satisfaction with key services, with a heavy emphasis on services relating to highways and traffic.
